Bichon ShihTzus
Why the Bichon Shih Tzu?

Bichon Shih Tzus are non to low shedding and considered among the best hypo-allergenic breeds, but no dog is truly "allergy-free" to those suffering from acute reactions. If you have allergies and want to find out if these are the dogs for you, we'd encourage you to spend some time with any other non to low shedding breed. Invite a friend or acquaintances Yorkie, Shih Tzu, Maltese, Bichon, etc to spent the weekend or even a week with you and this will give you a really accurate idea of "hypo-allergenic" is going to work for your specific allergies.
Coat types are varied within the Bichon Shih Tzu and can be silky soft curls or velvety straight coats. We specialize in the rarer straight and wavy coats in both solid and patch coat markings. Non to low shedding coats such as these require regular brushing and trips to the groomer in order to remain gorgeous and mat-free. Having a dog that feels like a silken, living teddy bear is well worth the effort!

We were fortunate to get our original dogs from Colette Francis of Pooch Palace Kennels, retired Bichon Shih Tzu / Bichon Shih Tzu Yorkie breeder of 30 years. She poured herself into these dogs, carefully breeding them for superior health and temperament. We are so thankful for the work she put in to reduce genetic health issues, focus on color and confirmation and select only the best temperaments to move forward. I truly believe that it is not possible to find healthier, happier, and better tempered dogs than the ones she created and we are beyond thrilled and honoured to be building on her strong foundation.
